Not a typical career path — but one that taught me to solve problems, communicate clearly, and build things that actually work.
Changing Direction
I started in medicine. I thought I’d be a doctor. But somewhere along the way, I discovered that building things on the web — turning ideas into working, clickable, useful tools — fascinated me more than anatomy ever did.
I switched to the IT program at the University of Sialkot and started learning from scratch. No portfolio. No connections. Just curiosity and a laptop.
Building 30+ Practice Projects
Before taking on my first paying client, I built more than 30 practice projects — restaurant sites, gym sites, law firm sites, ecommerce stores, landing pages. I experimented with every layout, every business type, every problem.
That hands-on learning taught me something no course could: a website isn’t just pages. It’s a tool that needs to communicate, load fast, work on phones, and guide visitors toward taking action.

Freelancing taught me the parts of web development that code can’t teach: communication, scope management, and understanding what a business actually needs versus what they think they need.
I made mistakes. I underquoted. I overdelivered. But every project taught me how to be faster, clearer, and more honest with clients. DevGurux grew from that experience.

DevGurux is now a small, founder-led team. I lead every project and communicate directly with every client. For larger builds, I bring in Baseer Kaleem (UI/UX), Sajeel Saifullah (front-end), and Shaheer Butt (backend) — three trusted developers who work from their own setups.

Also, many clients asked me not to publish their websites as case studies — they wanted their sites private. I respect that. Client confidentiality comes before my portfolio.

Yes. I’m based in Sialkot, Pakistan, and work remotely with clients across Canada, the US, Germany, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and worldwide. My hours overlap Calgary’s business day (10am–6pm MST).
I primarily work with WordPress and custom HTML/CSS/JavaScript. I also work with Shopify, WooCommerce, PHP, and API integrations. The technology should fit the project.
No upfront payment. You provide domain & hosting, I start building. Pay 40% when half the work is visible on a staging link. Pay 60% on launch. 2 months free support included.
